Once you create an account, you will be logged in and redirected to the difficulty screen with three available options:
Pup (Easy) = 0 SP Adolescent (Moderate) = 100 SP Adult (Hard) = 200 SP
This is not a one-off decision, and you will be reintroduced to this screen every time you create a new wolf. All modes are progressive, which means that easy mode will become moderate mode after some time. Moderate also has the ability to become hard mode depending on how you play. You begin the game as a 3 month old pup. From here, you have the opportunity to earn much more skills and raise your stats as you age. You’re are also taught the basics of survival by your pack members, like learning how to hunt, how to identify danger, and how to handle emergencies.
This mode, when played right, allows the longest lifespan (a.k.a playtime) of a single wolf. It is also the only difficulty that does not require any SP to play.
Unless using a special code, all newly registered users will have to start as a pup.You start the game as a 2 year old wolf. On this difficulty, you have less time to build up your skills and stats, and your pack will not teach you how to survive. When selecting this difficulty, you must select a subordinate rank and carry on the duties of a responsible pack member. Outside of your responsibilities, you have loyal pack members who work together to collectively find food, shelter, and keep each other safe.
This mode costs 200 SP to play, meaning newly registered players are unable to jump straight into this mode.
This mode is best for users who have already played through a life or two and got a hang of the game.
